  Aegis Software Announces FactoryLogix 2018.1 Release

2. July 2018 – Aegis Software, a provider of Manufacturing Execution Software (MES), announced the general availability of FactoryLogix 2018.1. This latest release extends existing incoming and in-process quality assurance features to provide administrative quality management. The administrative quality management provides a total solution for Corrective Actions and Preventive Measures (CAPA), Material Review Committees (MRB) and Error Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACAS) systems.

FactoryLogix 2018.1 also provides additional platform enhancements. Here are a few of the features offered in this new release:

  • Data Management with Archiving – Production data collected at the factory can quickly become massive in a short amount of time, depending on the manufacturing environment. In this era of connectivity, big data and the ongoing management of that data are becoming increasingly important to many manufacturers. However, to continue to meet compliance and regulatory requirements, these data must be easily accessible. With FactoryLogix data archiving, manufacturers can archive and automatically archive data, reducing IT costs, improving system performance, and accessing data whenever needed.
  • Collaboration & Communication – The enhanced operator feedback capabilities ensure that real-time feedback and ideas are captured digitally to foster an environment of collaboration and communication between production and engineering. Alarms & Workflows send feedback notifications to the right people at the right time and ensure timely reviews and solutions before final approval.
  • Embedded Excel – With FactoryLogix 2018.1, manufacturers can now use embedded Excel files in the context of the user's workflow without having to invoke a second window or a second application to access the worksheet.
  • Workflow Engine Enhancements – FactoryLogix 2018.1 now allows time-based conditions and workflows to be created beyond a batch, assembly, revision, workstation, or line. For example, a manufacturer could create a workflow that triggers a device scan every two months, regardless of the production process.
