AMADA MIYACHI AMERICA Announces Enhanced Version of 320 Series Electronic Welding Head System

24. May 2018 – AMADA MIYACHI AMERICA INC., A manufacturer of resistance welding, laser welding, marking, cutting, and micromachining equipment and systems, announced an update to its 320 Series Electronic Welding Head System, which set the maximum welding force at 3175 g (7.0 lb.) with a maximum trailing force of 3520 g (7.75 lb.).

The 320 series is designed for safety critical applications in the medical, aerospace, precision electronics and automotive industries. With the extended force range, the Series 320 is a choice for fine wire welding such as ignition wires and hearing aid components, electronic components and implantable medical devices.
The Series 320 can be configured with inline or offset counter electrodes to customize the welding head for specific applications. The weld displacement function stops the weld exactly during collapse.

In addition, a first part recognition function is offered which recognizes missing or additional parts. Displacement limits allow the monitoring of the start and end part thickness.
In addition, the software has been extended to include a low-force dressmode for electrode preparation and cleaning

The updated 320 Series is available with either linear or two-step footswitch options. Four programmable relay outputs facilitate process control.
