  C & K Announces SSW Detect Switch

9. July 2018 – C & K has announced its SSW Detect Switch. This two-pole double-stroke unit (DPDT) is defined by several features – including built-in redundancy, self-fault detection and lack of bi-stability with controlled switching time.

The SSW detection switch has many attributes, such as electric parking brakes (EPB) and x-by-wire, each requiring functional safety in accordance with the ISO 26262 automotive standard, as well as all other applications using low-level signals become. It is IP67 sealed to prevent ingress of liquids / dust and maintains the required operating temperature to withstand operating temperatures (from -40 ° C to 85 ° C)

For integration into the intended applications, the SSW Detect Switch supplied Tape and Reel Packaging, in a surface mount format with Gull Wing connectors. This vertical detection switch supports low level switching (5V – 1mA) and has low acoustics for snap devices. It is fully compatible with existing products in the market. The horizontal cam operation allows the switch a short distance from moving contacts. The patented design ensures that contacts only work in one direction at controlled intervals.
