inVia helps Rakuten Super Logistics to use autonomous warehouse robotic technology

inVia supports Rakuten Super Logistics in the implementation of autonomous warehouse robotic technology

9. May 2018 – InVia Robotics, the provider of robotic warehouse automation solutions for e-commerce fulfillment centers, announced that Rakuten Super Logistics (RSL) has deployed InVias Autonomous Warehouse Robotics technology in Nevada. With the inVia Picker robots and the cloud-based Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) management system, the company expects to increase e-commerce fulfillment and warehouse productivity by more than 300 percent as the solution comes with Data collection and optimization scales.

Rakuten Super Logistics (RSL) is a national e-commerce order processing firm, operating since 2001 in order processing technology. Customers across the country rely on RSL's proven expertise and ability to deliver scalability, flexibility and cost savings to customers.

"For RSL and our broad customer base, inVia Robotics offers an exciting opportunity to scale demand, manage costs, and improve inventory accuracy with a RaaS model," said Michael Manzione, RSL's Chief Executive Officer.

inVia Robotics helps e-commerce companies improve the management and optimization of supply chain processes with increasing demand and space competition. InVia's goods-to-person fulfillment, a subscription-based model, was chosen ahead of the competition due to its ability to increase efficiency across many operating cost levels within RSL facilities. The company's fulfillment requirements cover several warehouses in the US, in large population centers that support accelerated delivery to consumers. InVia's mobile robotic automation can optimize RSL operations in the US at a scalable rate.

The initial pilot deployment was completed in this warehouse in Las Vegas earlier this month in just three days. InVia's patented Autonomous Mobile Picker robots are used to increase productivity and fulfillment in a range of warehouse operations, including picking, packaging, replenishment and counting of runs.
