The CAL25HF model offers transversal performance over conventional calibration exciters operating over an operating bandwidth of 3 Hz to 20 kHz. It is available either as a stand-alone unit or as part of a larger automated calibration test system. The CAL25HF air bearing design includes a Beryllium (Be) fitting and a removable Be-Instrument Fastening Device (TIMF) to achieve the required high stiffness, low mass, and high resonance frequency. The pneumatic automatic realignment of the payload helps reduce the risk of unwanted noise on the valve. The CAL25HF also has an IEPE internal reference acceleration sensor with a sensitivity of 20 mV / g (100 mV / g optional), which is not built into the armature. The internal reference accelerometer offers a usable frequency range of <1 Hz to 55 kHz, 70 kHz mounted resonance and low thermal drift sensitivity. Model CAL25HF back-to-back calibrations are performed by comparing the device-under-test (DUT) output with known reference accelerometer output values. The CAL25HF complies with ISO 16063-21, sections 4.3 and 4.4, and its transverse motion specifications are in accordance with ISO 16063-21.

Typical applications for the CAL25HF include high volume accelerometer calibrations, sensor manufacturing quality assurance tests and laboratory R & D instrumentation testing. The devices are designed to calibrate accelerometers and vibration sensors with a diameter of up to 70 millimeters and a weight of up to 910 grams. The CAL25HF is one of three MB Dynamics airborne pathogens. Each offers low cross axis sensitivity and low distortion motion performance. Other offerings include the model CAL25AB, which operates up to 15 kHz; and the CAL12AB, which operates at 15 kHz, with lower nominal power.
