13. November 2018 - Microchip Technology introduced a LoRa System-in-Package family (SiP) with a 32-bit microcontroller (MCU), sub-GHz RF LoRa transceiver, and software stack. The SAM R34 / 35 SiPs have certified reference designs and interoperability with LoRaWAN gateway and network providers.
The SAM R34 devices are powered by the SAM L21 Arm Cortex-M0 + based MCU in end-use applications. The SAM R34 / 35 family is integrated in a 6 x 6 mm housing and is suitable for a variety of IoT applications.
Developers can combine their application code with the Microchip LoRaWAN stack and prototype with the ATSAMR34 XPRO Development Board (DM320111). , which is supported by the Atmel Studio 7 Software Development Kit (SDK). The development board is certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Industry Canada (IC) and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
The SAM R34 / 35 family is supported by Microchip's LoRaWAN stack and a certified chip chip. Down Pack allowing customers to design RF applications With the support of worldwide LoRaWAN operation from 862 to 1020 MHz, developers can use a single component variant across all regions, simplifying the design process and reducing inventory overhead. The SAM R34 / 35 family supports class A and C terminals as well as proprietary point-to-point connections.
