Rockwell Automation adds five members to the Machine Safety System Integrator program

  Rockwell Automation announces the addition of 5 members to the Integrator program for machinery protection systems

2. August 2018 – Rockwell Automation has added five members to its machine protection system integrator program. Launched in 2014, the program helps industrial companies identify the most up-to-date system integrators with a track record of developing security systems.

"Our systems integrator system program now includes 42 system integrators around the world specializing in a variety of machine types," said Lee Lane, vice president of safety, sensing and connectivity for Rockwell Automation.

Five new members of the program include:

  • Frakes Engineering, a Rockwell Automation recognized system integrator based in Indianapolis, Indiana, specializing in machine safety, network security, modernization, vision, and robotics. The company serves industries such as water / wastewater, automotive and plastics.
  • Huffman Engineering, a recognized systems integrator from Rockwell Automation, with offices in Lincoln, Nebraska and Englewood, Colorado, acts as an extension of its customer's engineering group. The company specializes in design, documentation, panels, programming, testing, training and validation for industries such as water / wastewater and life sciences.
  • JAE Automation, a Rockwell Automation accredited systems integrator based in Kemptville, Ontario, specializes in consolidating all aspects of a plant into an automated asset management system.
  • McRae Integration, a Rockwell Automation Solution Partner based in Toronto, Ontario, specializes in robot automation, protection and security solutions, OEM process control, brewery services, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • R & L Engineering, a Rockwell Automation Recognized System Integrator based in Albany, Georgia, offers panel-board design, specialty machinery manufacturing, and training for a variety of industries including food and beverage, forestry, nonwovens / web handling, bioenergy, and mining.

Requirement for Participation in the Machine Safety System Integrator Program, candidates must be current Solution Partners or recognized system integrators in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program with three to five years of machine safety experience. You have to complete a training and assessment process. Rockwell Automation also recognizes third-party certifications through industry-recognized organizations such as TÜV or Exida.

Once these safety requirements have been met, each candidate's safety engineers complete training modules on topics such as global safety standards, risk assessment practices, and mitigation and validation safety measures. Finally, every candidate must submit a machine safety project that meets global standards.
