  Universal Robots hires 20 employees of Rethink Robotics, merging sites in Boston

13. November 2018 - Universal Robots (UR) hires more than 20 Rethink employees to merge the UR office in Boston with Rethink's former headquarters in Seaport, Boston, USA USA, effective immediately. These collaborators have experience in collaborative robotics in design, product development and customer applications, which together with UR's know-how will lead to the development of new collaborative robotics solutions.

It is predicted that collaborative robotics is the fastest growing segment of industrial robotics today. According to BIS Research, the company is growing from $ 283 million in the previous year to $ 3.26 billion in 2022. The growth of Universal Robots means the Continuously adapt corporate structure and processes to achieve the goals for 2019 and beyond. Rethink Robotics' new staff will help accelerate UR's strategic ambitions and actions.

Universal Robots provides a roadmap to customers of Rethink's Baxter and Sawyer models and is ready to assist these customers in transitioning to UR Cobots.
